COVID-19 Update 2020
Unfortunately we will not be able to run a festival this year and our workshops will be either cancelled or rescheduled once we know more as the year progresses. The stone isn’t going anywhere. Meanwhile: check our new Colouring Sheets of Amherst Island and County Tipperary walls by Lynn Wyminga, posted as a fundraiser for The Back Kitchen (donations welcome). 2019 Festival
Our 2019 Festival was amazing! 5 separate legacy builds: restoration of another section of historic Irish dry stone wall, creation of a stone base for a public school sign, cob wood-fired oven for a not-for-profit community cafe, bayside gathering area, and curved retaining wall. Lennox and Addington County 4H assisted at the Children’s Area experience for families. And a stone carving workshop was another success. Looking forward to this year’s gathering. The 2020 Festival announcement is coming soon. Connect, learn, have fun and be inspired! https://drystonecanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/2019festival.mp4
Happy New Year!
Dry Stone Canada wishes everyone great health, much happiness, and a prosperous year and new decade ahead. Cheers!
